Read in 5th Grade
"Seven half-bloods shall answer the call. To storm or fire the world must fall. An oath to keep with a final breath/And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death." Percy and his friends team up with the long-forgotten Roman demigods in a fight against the giants. After the fall of the Titans, Gaea, Mother Earth herself, produced the giants, only killable by a combination of demigod and god. But the gods have become reclusive and the Greek and Roman camps have a millennia old rivalry. To overcome these, Hera has crafted a careful plan that could either go great or horribly wrong.
Percy and Jason, the most acclaimed heroes of the Greeks and Romans, respectively, are sent to the opposite camp with no memories in an attempt to bring them together. It succeeds, but more challenges await. On their journey, the fated seven uncover ancient feuds and monsters, and travel through literal Hell. They must make their final stand at the Greek Camp Half-Blood, where Gaea rises from her sleep. Taking a hint from the prophecy, Jason and Leo, sons of sky and fire gods, team up to take her down(or rather, up). They succeed, but the price is Leo's life.
I liked the series, though some of them were a little monotonous.
