Book 2 in series

The drama is all over in Bayview...or is it? The aftermath of About That has changed Bayview High School. And Maeve, Phoebe, and Knox are getting roped into it. Many About That copies have popped up, most of them bad. But the latest is playing a game of Truth or Dare. And the first candidate? Phoebe. When she refuses to play, the Unknown exposes her. She slept with her sister’s boyfriend. This cracks Phoebe’s relationships with her sister and friends down to just Knox and Maeve. Now, people know: Always pick Dare. School mascots on street signs, kissing random people, the fear and interest levels are matching About That. Now, it’s Maeve’s turn. She chooses not to get roped in, but she has no choice. Now everyone knows why she dumped Knox. “...He couldn’t get it up.” Now, Knox is the laughingstock of the school, but the game dies off slowly soon after. Except it didn’t. When Brandon Weber dies because the roof feel out of an abandoned construction site many kids use as a shortcut, something is fishy, and it feels just like the way Simon died. A mysterious person is also after Phoebe, accusing her of avoiding him. The trio follows him to a meeting, and finds where he lives. They have also been keeping tabs on a revenge site Simon once used, and is now being used by the creator of the game. When Knox sees the note that he wrote for Phoebe, he knows where he has seen the handwriting. At the law firm where he interns, the head lawyer has been getting death threats from the brother of someone landed in jail. And he’s out for blood. He plants a bomb at the wedding rehearsal of the lawyer, and if not for Knox and Maeve’s quick thinking, many people would have been hurt. Jared Jackson is the man’s name, and when he is caught, he points to Phoebe as his partner in crime, who has no idea what he is talking about. Phoebe’s sister admits to using her name and contacting Jackson after discovering Phoebe cheated with her boyfriend. But when Jackson suggested killing Brandon Weber, she backed out. And someone else filled in. Reading the messages, Emma and Phoebe realize it was their genius brother, Owen, who also backed out after Brandon’s death. But they choose not to tell.

Note: Plot is far more complex than I could have described here.
